Headlight Relay

I recently bought a 1992 Maxima SE and the right front headlight is out, thought it would be a simple fix to you know replace the headlight. Turns out that the wireing on the headlight is bad or sumthing. The headlight wont work when they are on but when you turn on the brights it does work. Its like its not getting enough power. I just wanted to know where the relays were for the headlights. What do you guys think it could be?

Try cleaning the contacts like i shown how to do in the thread link,if that doesn't work then yes,a new switch would be in order..

Or it could be simpler: the bulb has 2 filaments, possibly only one is out.

Swap bulbs between your headlights, see what happens. Its good to test and narrow down possible issues before replacing everything in sight.

replace the headlight != replace the bulb

The headlight wont work when they are on but when you turn on the brights it does work
anyway, glad it works now.

My fog lights don't work. Checked fuse on driver side, relay near battery, bulbs, nothing> Suggestions?? Also my reverse lights don't work too. Nissan said part was like 60 bucks and I would have to drain the trainy, so I'm thinking I could just wire the reverse lights to a switch in the dash. Anybody done this before??

That would be a nasty rig job. You could do it, but it's half rear ended, and not the way to fix your car, and at least in NY, it'll get you a ticket if you are caught with your reverse lights rigged to a manual switch. Buy the part, and fix it properly. As for the fog lights, pull out a bulb, and verify that you are, or are not getting power at the light. If there is power at the light socket, check the ground. If there is no power at the light socket, then start working your way back toward the battery, checking for power until you find where the problem is.
