changing blinkers/clear corners

changing blinkers/clear corners

ive got clear corners in for my front blinkers...i need to swap them out for stock ones to pass inspection...how do i go about swapping out the 2 fixtures on either side? would i go from the top (opening hte hood) or underneath the car?... any stickies or posts that explain how to would be nice..thanks

do you mean the lights right next to the headlights
or the turn signals?

turn signals... aobut 8 inches below the headlights.. there are 2 seperate light covers on each side

oh ok, just take a flat head screw driver with a rag wrapped around it (so you don t scratch your car) and pop out the side marker light (the one small light next the the turn signal), it will put up a little fight, then after you get that out, there should be 1 screw thats holding the turn signal, remove that and its out

so i dont have to go from inside the hood or underneath the car? it will just pop out from me wedgeing a flat head in there?

just wedge the flat head screw driver, you dont need to go under the hood or underneath the bumper. There is only one screw that holds the side marker, thats the only screw that you will have to remove.

lol that would be something. A sticky to change your clear corners. hahaah i'm sorry that's just funny.

Did you buy the car like that or did you install them of yourself? Because if you installed them yourself that it's the same thing.

haha...im not that pathetic...only slightly...i did buy the car with them already in it, so i have not had the luxury of doing it yet... looks like im a tiny step ahead of being a newbie now

Wow, you have pretty strict inspection. Usually its the side one not the front ones that get people.

yea...i was shocked when i heard it from the inspection lady...apparently in NJ all light covers must have DOT written on them or else they are invalid... i thought i was just gonna fail for my tinted windows and ripped off spoiler, but hte lights as well

Damn that sucks, I guess the reason being is that they do not have an amber reflector in them.

They shouldn't need to be amber. The reflectors allow you to see the edges of a car at night, and the clear reflectors work exactly the same.
