clutch hose: full stainless steel vs oem lower hose

I've contacted various .org members selling stainless steel clutch hoses, but after waiting 4wks for product, none have come through. So now I have a decision to make...

1) $80 for full stainless steel clutch hose connecting master cyl to slave cyl, bypassing the kinked hardlines and rubber softlines

2) $48 for oem lower hose connecting from the upper hose to the slave cyl (about 8" long, including the box banjo)

I want something reliable, yet don't wanna go overboard on a car I don't think I'll keep for more than a year. Tough decision. Which would you choose?

Why not like $25 for the SS lower line?

I've contacted those SS line GD sellers (and non GD sellers) and after 1 month of waving paypal in their direction for asking price, and nothing has happened. I understand that everybody is busy, but 1month of waiting is too long.

I'm interested in this if someone wants to get something going...I would if had more time but time is my enemy right now....but my wallet can be another's ally!

So we only need one hose, right?! The hose going from the Master cylinder to the slave cylinder....what happens to the other hose that's sitting atop the transmission case?!

I think I might have a much cheaper solution if anyone wants to try it out.

The 240sx SS clutch auto to manual conversion line. They go for 35 bucks and eliminate the banjo bolt on the slave cyl.

That's what I'm working on right now, and it's not the $80. The $35 sounds right. I'm waiting to verify that the fittings are the same.

I have One large SS line from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder. Did away with the upper bleeder and the banjo fitting for I believe only $25 in a group deal last year. I loved elimating all thay mess of line.

LOL. I kno the benefits and stuff. So far, I have 2 people saying the 240sx line works, and 2 saying it won't. Unfortunately both my 240sx line sources have 20% restocking fee if I'm wrong.

What really pissed me off is that the local source, Options Import, were a jerk to me over the phone. Not a helpful person, and obviously isn't customer oriented. Pretty much gave me the attitude of "Maxima? Psh, whatever." My efforts of meeting w/local 240sx enthusiasts has also been shot down... nobody wants to help Maximas. Sad sad. Even our own .org suppliers have left us (I'm sure for their own good reason). Feeling left out here, by the world. LOL.
I tried contacting Technafit, I was told they don't deal w/end users/consumers. Not sure what the next step is, I'm still trying to network and meet people who could potentially solve our problem here. I'm willing to entertain any tips/advice/leads.
