Size of rear rotors for BBK
I tried to do a search to find out what the size was for the rear rotors on a BBK ('88 300ZX) but it kept coming up as a fatal error.
So, my question is:
I found a local guy who is parting out a Mach 1 Mustang and has a set of rotors for sale, specifically some front drilled and slotted 13" eBay rotors w/ nickle plating that he is willing to let go for $50. He says they only have about 10 miles on them. He also has some rear 11" stock Cobra rotors that he'll sell me for $30, but I don't know if they will fit. Anyone know? Also, on the rear BBK, if I have wheels that will clear them, will dual piston Z32 rear calipers fit with Jeff's brackets? Thanks.

Well, my computer finally let me do a search. It seems that the correct rotors needed for a rear BBK are from a 1986 300ZX and are 290mm in diameter and 9mm thick (solid). That translates to approximately 11.417 inches wide. So, no- rear Cobra rotors probably wouldn't work and are smaller anyway (~11").
Also, Matt said in the rear BBK thread that the Z32 rear calipers wouldn't fit, not because of wheel clearance issues but because of the fitment of the different type (similar to drum brakes) of e-brake cable connections. I wonder if, in the future, someone might find a way to fit them. Anyway, until then, I guess I will stick to the tried and true system.
