I did I ended up getting the red, I found a handful of picks online of dark color cars with yellow calipers. It was a little too obnoxious.

Oops edited, i meant I did end up getting the red.

Red is the best color in your case. Good contrast of colors. Yellow will probably look too garish.

I like red, especially with dark cars like mine.

My daughters car is silver (Celica) and I am thinking of blue calipers for that. Try searching online for silver 4 doors cars that sort of resemble the maxima and see what looks good to you. Also, you can buy high temp lettering so give that some consideration too.

I would do black. I only like colored calipers if they are aftermarket.

I completely agree with your statement. And even then, with aftermarket, it better be powdercoated not painted if youre going to spend that kind of money.

I read on here some of you guys have used the duplicolor kits to paint your calipers. The kit said its enough to do all 4 calipers. Is 1 kit really enough to put a couple coats on each one and get good covering or should I pick up 2 kits?

I ran silver on silver with blk lettering, I didn't want it to stand out too much (especially since they are still stock calipers)

I would paint them black with chrome/silver letters or a bright silver with black letters. I already have chrome letters on the stock finish and they contrast enough to be noticed.

Duplicolor Engine Enamel Paint in a spray can is <$7 IIRC. Good to 500 degrees and has lasted 2 yrs on my car.

I prefer the duplicolor brush on paint. Runs about $15 from Pep Boys, Auto Zone or Kragens

How do you recommend painting them? I've seen some people plastic / paper around the wheel well.

Spray = mask off other unwanted parts that you do not want painted.

Brush = color within the lines and hope not to have shaky hands.

The Duplicolor Enamel is a spray.

I recommend picking up one of those "fine" 4 brush kits.

The bush included in my Duplicolor kit was pretty cheap and liked to leave hairs in my paint. Also it was a little fat for some of the tighter areas so having the really fine tipped bush heads helped.

Ill be replacing the rotors so im thinking about painting them while they are still on the old rotors to leave a little bit of room for error.
