speedo working when it wants to

My Speedometer has decided to work when it wants to. Sometimes it drops to zero for minutes at a time, then goes back to normal, than quits. Very random and it interferes with my cruise control as well.

whats goin on here?

had the exact same problem.. its not the speed sensor.. (replaced mine did the same problem.. save your money) i had to replace the whole speedometer cluster .. junkyards are our friends.. if you can't do that then.. attempt to tighten each screw on the back of the gauge cluster.. perhaps that will work for you

cheers

Vehicle Speed Sensor, or like midnight said it could be your entire cluster. Does your odometer work? If it does then it is your VSS. If not its most likely the cluster.
