Speaker whining noise

I have after market: head unit, amp and speakers. How can I narrow down the source of the whining noise? I've had this after market setup before with no whining noise but now the whining noise is there. HELP

Whining through the speakers usually indicates a bad/weak ground. Check the ground for your amp- make sure its bolted to unpainted metal.

did you wire it up yourself? Make sure your RCA's are isolated from all other wiring, and your speaker wire away from power cords as well, that is the main cause of whining, check your grounds as well as mentioned, keep them as short as possible (18" is spec dont go much more than that)

Make sure you go a good job sanding around your ground point.

then thats the wiring, something is either not grounded properly, or stripped wires are picking up interference

bad ground somewhere/power wires too close to speaker wires/exposed wires/bad connection

if the amps in the trunk ground it to one of the wheel well lower corners, that where the most meat is. also like I said short as possible, and same guage as your power wire, but check your RCA's first.

Problem found

apparently the source of the whining noise was a faulty headunit, I got my headunit replaced and whining noise is gone. I guess when my amp shorted out, it damaged my headunit.

Thanks for all those who helped.
