Anybody have different bulbs in their taillights? Superwhite, or even aftermarket red bulbs? I'm looking for some suggestions, I want a different-than-stock look, but I'm not too sure what to go for..

bulb sizes:

brake lamp: 1157 (double filament)
signal lamp: 1156 (single filament)
reverse lamp: superwedge (192), but size 168 will also fit (light will be a little dimmer than stock though)

im thinking about trying one of those red LED 1157s for my brake lamp and a red LED 1156 for the signal lamp. im gonna get polarg m-6's (superwhite) for the reverse lamp.

i've got m-9 polarg hybrid series bulbs for the 1156. they are not very visible durring the day, especially on sunny days, but at night they are very bright, and people tend to back off after to cut them cause there eyes are hurting

you can buy em and put them in, but if you do cops will be all over your as s like stink on shi t.

even hyperwhite signals n stuff arent legal. brakelights must be red, front turn signals must be amber (although clear halogen will often be overlooked), and rear turn signals must be amber or red.

Did you try Autobulbdepot.com They have PIAA wedge bulbs, or try Autofreak.net for Polarg wedge bulbs.

I have RED 1156 single filament bulbs in for my turning signals. It looks a little nicer than the stock orange/amber ones. At night when my lights are on and I have a turn signal on it makes a complete red circle. =) I still have problems trying to match the color of the hyper whites bulbs in my side clears.

Yeah I'm having a hard time trying to match my front turn signals with my headlights.. I bought the same color bulbs from the same company (APC), but they are not the same color when there on... They have a nice blue glow during the day, but when I turn them on they suck... The turn signals look green... Does anyone have some that match??? If so what brand??

please take my advice and just leave those bulbs in! i bought some polarg hybrid series m-14 bulbs.. they didnt match.. 20 bucks right there, so i bought polarg m-12 a higher wattage one, same exact color, another 20 bucks there, then i bought the piaa xtreme plus the piaa xtreme head lights, thinking since both are the same they'll match... they dont, same color as the polarg... i left the piaa's in my car. my piaa h4's match my polarg m-4 which are in the clear sides, my bluish dim corners the piaa xtreme 1157's match my hyperwhite but stock yellow looking fogs, so im happy kinda. but time to change my rear turns back to amber or red, dont want a ticket for my hyper white back there...
