so i used sea foam..

i poured it into the gas tank cause i needed to clean the injectors and when i turned it on, there was no white smoke or anything coming from the exhaust. or is the white smoke only when poured into the crankcase or intake. did i do something wrong?

well i can be wrong, but i have never seen it been thrown into the tank, always somewhere in the engine tehn you will see smoke after 5-8 minutes.
LETS WAIT AND SEE.

I don't think you'll get that much smoke, if any, from the gas tank. I noticed a lot of smoke when I seafoam using my brake booster. Smoked for a good 5 minutes or so.

Just let it suck though the brake booster, turn off the engine for 15 minutes or so, then start it back up and you'll see the smoke pour out.

That's fine for cleaning injectors. I think most members use chevron techron fuel system cleaner or BG44k.

The usual use of Seafoam is through the brake booster vacuum line. That's the one that will give u the white smoke.

you did it wrong. It won't hurt to put it in the tank, but you are supposed to let the engine slowly suck it up through the brake booster line, then turn the car off and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. then start it up and watch all the smoke pour out. (lots) it only smokes after sitting off 10-15 minutes which basically tells you that it's not just the seafoam burning off. It's the carbon that the seafoam softened up and disolved. (and don't put it in your crankcase. they make other crap for that like AutoRX)

It's not made to put in the gas tank. The whole point is to let it get sucked through the intake and past the injectors and through the valves at full concentration, then turn the engine off and let the coated parts sit for a while to help disolve off the carbon. Putting it in the gas tank just dilutes it shoots it slowly into the engine to be burned off.

i used it in my gas tank today because i just finished redoing all my valve cover gaskets and knock sensor and ITM gaskets.. i noticed my injectors were causing the car to sputter because they were clogged and i poured full can of seafoam into my tank that was at full. it definitely fixed the problem and my car doesn't sputter anymore.
