Sea Sponges

I use nothing but natural sea sponges on my cars as they do not scratch or cause damage. The down side is expense, I would normally buy them from Auto Geek for $25.00 for a quarter cut sponge (lasts about a year), so I’m surfing around, looking for what I don’t remember and ran across this bath supply place (nice soaps and such crap) well they had cultured 10” whole sea sponges for $19.00 ea! That’s like four of the ones I used to buy. They arrived today, and are sweet check them out. www.thesoapopera.com

are these safe to use without scratching the paint? they always looked a little abrasive.

You would think so looking at a dried out one, the pores allow dirt and abrasives somewhere to go rather than scraping your paint. http://www.autogeek.net/natseaspon.html
