yeah i know what cha mean, but it was hard spending $300 installing on a used fuel tank when i could spend $23 fixing it. I patched it today, and it's looking REALLY GOOD! but i wanna know if it will be able last long.
I'll replace it, if it starts to leak.
well honestly, you gotta make sure the fuel wont eat away at the fibreglass. im not sure ive never done it before, but i know gasoline will eat away at a lot of things, which is why pvc tanks are commonly used. also the fibreglass could contaminate the gas i really don tknow, but i personally would have just spent the money and got it replaced. that way you wont have to worry about it ever again. i understand your situation tho, spending money on something like that were you could be spending it on mods or w/e sucks.
may i ask how you managed to get a hole in your fuel tank?

gas dosent eat away at fiberglass, most gast stations holding tanks are built with fiberglass inner liners to prevent water build up, corrosion resistance blah blah 10 layers will sufffice just to be safe sand the outside layer till its smooth and spray with undercoat or truck bed coating, on a microscopic level it prevents the fiber glass from being porus. hope that helps
while driving behind a van, a piece of metal appeared right after he went over it. My car was too low and that metal put a hole in my tank, about the size of ur whole pinky. 0.5 x 2.0 inches.
Slinky- that's awesome to hear, but REALLY i hope u didn't make that up haha, thanks man
