14.7@94.3 4th gen w/ 00vi

Mods: 00vi, rough vafc2 tune(11.5-12.5 a/f), VERY short ram K&N intake, Budget y pipe, UR udp, no a/c equipment. 75% worn street all season tires, the combo is 48lbs. Car was about 2900lbs on the scale. It was in the mid to high 80s and humidity above 80%. Track altitude is 492 ft above sea level.

I still have a decent sized exhaust leak right before the muffler, and i belive i may have a vacuum leak somewhere but no idea where. Currently experimenting with different intake setups as well.

Here are the details, copying from the slip:

60' 2.272 (!)
330 6.270
1/8 9.565
mph 74.28
1000 12.397
1/4 14.787
mph 94.33

Over last time, my trap went up 4mph and my e/t dropped .6 of a second. I guess this is what happens when you fix your VIAS. I only got three runs in. One was 15.1, then 15.2, and then 14.7.

I honestly think i could of gotten this car to 14.5 or below last night if i could of gotten a couple more runs in, because i finally figured out how to launch correctly. I guess 14.7 in bad conditions would mean 14.4 ish in good conditions?

Oh yeah, on that last run, i should of ran a bit faster....here's what happened....im near the end of the track and about to hit the stock rev limiter...i shift to fourth and all the sudden my rpm fly up to over 8k....yeah i shifted to second and not fourth. Im really happy that i drove a car with a vq , i thought i would have to swap a 3.5 in after hearing the sound of 8k.

Let me know what you guys think, besides the need to fix my leak!

Edit: forgot to add, tire pressure was 26psi...i'll drop it down to 16-19 next time i go, which is gonna be this coming friday probably

Thanks. My goal is to run 13.9 with this setup, maybe i'll get it when it gets colder and i get my 60' down to 2.0/2.1. Next time im taking all the seats out.

Edit: if you guys have any suggestions as to what i can do for free to run faster besides weight reduction and fixing my exaust, let me know!

Nice time man, glad to finally see you in the 14's, as you should be.

Wish I could've gone, but had the family up from Florida, plus I need to work on my suspension setup before I hit the track again.

Im currently working on a couple of maf/intake mods....if everything goes as planned, i should drop to the low 14s. Mods shoudl be done tonight.
