need help asap on my rear turn socket

i finished washing my car today and i figured i'd change the rear turn lights back to stock, from all this illegal hyper white talk... so as i replace the left bulb, then test it out, the left one didnt work anymore! only the right side did... i tried putting in the hyper whites again, but those didnt work anymore, the left hyper white was kinda wedged in there cuz i had to sand one of the ***** off... the wirring doesnt look loose... does anyone know what i can do to fix this?! i dont want to take it to the dealer yet or a car shop.. can anyone help me please???

Well, time to start busting out the digital multi-meter and start testing for a short somewhere. It is not going to be easy, electrical problems are never easy, especially in cars. Good luck, you might need it.

If it was wedged

in the socket, look at the socket to make sure the copper "pieces" look like they are supposed to. Maybe one got a bit more bent during removal/install and contact is not being made. Other wise it will be like Matticus said DVM and some patience. I suspect its just a bent piece.

i fixed it! whew... the side copper piece is notr sticking out anymore so i had to sand one **** the make the other **** touch it...

I just baught Xenon 1156 bulbs for my rear turn signls and they do not fit because one of the **** are off. ToYLeT902 said that he had to sand one of his **** of to get it to fit. Is this what EVERYONE has to do to make um fit? If so, WHY? The HID and the origanal are both 1156!

yup up you gotta do it. hold both bulbs side by side and look from underneat, you'll notice the stock bulbs **** are like \/ sorta, and the xenon's are just "|" so you'd have to sand off one ****. then make the single **** touch the side copper piece in the socket and your all done.
