I have this code as well, I replaced the front O2 sensor (the one that has the wires that connect near the radiator) and it still comes up after clearing. So I'm wondering what the next step is, I've read that PCV valve problems can cause this code as well as fuel issues. I just ran my tank down and filled up with a bottle of fuel system cleaner and I am about to change the fuel filter and PCV valve, is there anything else I should do before clearing this code again?

edit: The car has 152k on it.

Also, how do i check for exhaust leaks.

If you got a code for the bank 1 sensor, why did you replace the bank 2 sensor? ...that's why the code still comes up.

Code: P0133 | Description: O2 Sensor Fault

You might want to actually test the sensor before you just go replacing parts.

Hmm, well to be honest I went to an autozone and took my OBD data and said it was the front one, I did look at the scanner but not very close so it is possible that there were 2 codes up (well, there were several codes) and they only told be about the front one or maybe they were mistaken about which it was.

Anyway, I could have sworn the P0133 code was for the front sensor. If it is for the back one I will change that one out too (on top of the other maintenance I have planned for the 150k mark)

Is there any brand that is recommended above others?

So the CEL is back on? Why not pull the codes again to make sure?

P0133 is rear. Again, see the FSM diagram I posted above.

Most any brand seem to work just fine. I would go with OE fit though, not a universal type.

It's possible 'bank 1' was being interpreted as the 'first' bank, in the front. Who knows.
