i got scammed by a maxima.org member. please read and help

i have an 2003 infiniti i35 and i posted on the Northeastern U.S. regional forum that i need someone to do a retrofit on my headlights. so i received many replys from the thread however one member offered me a great price on retrofitting. this member is named maxc. he lives in texas sorry if i do this but his address is

727 pine thicket ct
spring, tx 77373

now the problem is i brought two acura tsx headlights from ebay and it came with clear projector and mailed the package to him along with my left side headlight and stock ballast. maxc charges $80 for a retrofit and said he has done many retrofits for 4th and 5th gen maximas. maxc received both packages on wednesday the 8th of august. ever since then i have been unable to get in touch with him. i called his cell,e-mailed him and pm him but no response. i know that i has not been a week since i have last spoken to this member but i can not sit here and wait. now i do understand you get what you pay for and this is my biggest mistake ever on a forum. so i called the texas police and they can not help me. in order to file a theft claim i must be in person to do that. so i am about to call my local police in jersey. does anyone live near this member. what should i do next write a letter to warn him or just let the police investigate his a**. any help would be great thanks 281-250-5068 mike

Mike...

People do have lives to live outside of maxima.org. Just be patient. If you paid by paypal file a claim.

There is a place for this, and it's not the 5th gen forum.

I was going to ask how much time he was given to do this. Did you discuss how long it would take? Just keep the communication line open and get his other contact info (phone number, cell phone, e-mail address, etc.) so that you can call him should time pass longer than what he stated would be the time they would be ready.
