00VI swap, 5th gen everything not turning over, suggestions please,
Well, spend all night swapping it in, no EGR because I could not get the dam guide tube off, blocked off both ends of that
Using 5th gen IACV
The motor just will not turn over, any thoughts are welcome

it will not start at WOT
where is there a screw on the 00IACV?
ill go take it off and look

The 5th gen IACV isn't the greatest idea in the first place because it isn't 100% compatible with our ECU and wiring harness, it would seem. But, if holding the throttle open won't allow it to start, the IACV probably isn't the problem. Are you trying to start it WITH your intake attached or no?

The rail is pressurize, I popped off one of the FPRs to see
Ok I think it’s the fuel, the exhaust dose not have a gas odder, and when I crank the engine with my hand under the injector I don’t feel any mist, what could be wrong with them? The fuel line is pressurized I am going to check wires
ok well now I am not so sure about the fuel theory, after pulling the fuel pump fuse and cranking it for a little bit I was able to depressurize the fuel lines, if they were not working the fuel rail would have stayed pressurized, hmm
Ok it runs, at 0% throttle it accelerates to 35MPHs thos, In neutral it will climb up to 3k and drop back to 2k, so it sounds like there is a vacuum leak and the IACV is trying to compsate?
I switched to the 4th gen TPS, my VAFC reads the throttle % now,
Good news no more CELs!
So what’s the best way to look for vacuum leaks? Popular spots for 00VI swaps to leak form?
ill post if I find anything

who sells the plates for thos?
the surging idle sounds like a vac. leak, while the car is running spray carb cleaner at different spots to find out where it is leaking. When the engine takes in some of the car cleaner the rev's will race. Some of the more common places for them to leak is at the Lower and upper intake manifold unions.

Sorry bro, but i have to say you are using VERY OLD information... or you just don't know..
I've done 9 00vi installs! only 2 stuck with 4th gen IACV + adapter plates, and ONLY those two guys have cold start issues.. everybody else starts the car and it revs to 1500
I even had the Pathy TB + IACV on my Max hooked up and working CORRECTLY, the way it should

I'm not out to start BS.. just information for those who need it.

Be sure to properly adjust the TPS and base idle too.

Not that it's the cause of your problem, but here's something else you'll need to fix to get the 00VI working correctly: that vacuum line to the passenger-side port on the VIAS is wrong. That port doesn't need vacuum, which will cause your power valve to be activated continuously. That port should be connected to fresh, unpressurized air. On stock 5th gens it's connected to the airbox (IIRC); I don't have mine connected to anything.

THX!

ON the 4g IACV there's a pink and purple connector. This can actually be removed from the IACV. Take them off and find a place in the engine bay to tie them too. No splicing at all.
