squeaky auto tranny

Enginebay lightly squeaks when engaging into forward and reverse, is this normal? the same squeak is also heard when going from a stop, or even accelerating to get over the cement lip on my garage driveway. Could it be the motor mounts? or something else?

I'd say motor mounts as well. Could possibly be bad struts, but they usually don't make noise when shifting gears, even if they are bad.

I have a similar noise, and it occurs at about 1200 RPM (IIIRC) and sounds like a small "chirp" whenever I rev the engine past this point. Is this what you are hearing Nightkid08? Does this mean bad motor points? I've also noticed that when I start my engine up in there is a little more rattle or vibration when it first turns over... also a sign of bad motor mounts? What is the motor mounts?

rattling seems normal...motor mounts are the harnesses that mount the engine to the car frame. they are usually filled with some kind of plastic or rubber to absorb vibrations.
