Ksport install with pics!!

I finished installing my Ksports that I picked up off the .Org tonight. I have yet to lower/level it to the way I want it. Its down about 1-1.5" all around. Overall, not easy. The CO's were used, and although had been driven for only 6 months, they sat idle for a while. This made collars, etc...very difficult to get unstuck/loose. But I paid $500 shipped for them so, your call.

Oh, and I think I set a record. I installed the front passengers side in 26 minutes...from loosening to tightening the lugs.

Also, I took pics for a detailed writeup with tips, warnings, FAQ, etc...anyone interested? I searched via Google, and looked in the stickies but no one has a 4th gen install guide. I figured with the detail that I planned on going into, it might be helpful.

Peace out...bed time. School tomorrow.

Not bad time if you didnt have air tools .Great now go get a front end alignment. 4 I foresee a future of unevevnly worn tires.

Yeah, no air tools. and I had to use my scissor jack to support the contorl arm and push the assembly up.

Alignment, deffinetly...haha.

Do the coilovers come preasembled?
If so, is a write up really needed for the install?
Its the same as installing an assembled strut/spring setup right?
I would think a detailed writeup for the adjusting of the units with pics of the car on different settings would be more usefull.

Going to go ahead and say 26 mins. not a record without air tools.

The pics are always helpful for people thinking about getting into the install, I would see about getting them added to the FAQ. *Edit: Also as Flava mentioned, coilover specific instructions or pictures would be best as swapping the full assemblies is actually easier than doing the strut/spring install.

Agree. I had no idea what I was doing. I did all 4 in just under an hour. No air tools, just a damn floor jack and wrenches

Wow...I thought I was fast...haha.

I am still in the process of getting a feel for them, adjusting, etc...

Also, it helps to know bolt sizes, tips, etc...like using a jack to support the control arm and push the CO up. Or not forgetting to pre measure stock height(guilty...). Haha.

Oh, and I gotta work on some noise issues now...

the y-pipe hangers??? damn man, i dunno what else could be wrong with it then. i mean, the y-pipe hangers are sagging really low, and i thought replacing those could help out the b-pipe. will try to take pics later.

how else can i raise the b-pipe up then?? i need to fix this before i install the coilovers...

i also tried raising it up w/ the b-pipe support beam, but that only compressed the hell out the pipe which transfered all the vibration, and sound from the exhaust to the beam to the whole chassis which made it 2x louder outside and inside the cabin...
