wirelessdude04: BAD Buyer

Last week he agreed to purchase my outer tail lights for $15.00, payment to be paid via paypal. After almost two days of "i'll send it when i get home" the payment was finally sent.

He paid with an eCheck, which means the funds are not deposited to my paypal account until the cheak clears with paypal. It's the same as any of us getting paid with a check, and waiting for it to clear with our bank. I contacted wirelessdude04 and told him the tails would not ship until the funds had cleared, and included a copy and paste from paypal showing the estimated clearing date of September 6th. I have been checking paypal everyday, several times a day, so that the tails would be shipped as soon as possible, if the funds cleared early.

Note that till this point no contact has been made from wirelessdude04, so i have no reason to expect any problems. And he can very easily view his paypal for the status, as well. Today i check paypal, expecting the balance to have gone up 15.00, only to find the payment has been CANCELED by wirelessdude04.

What the hell?? I waited a WEEK for payment and you stiffed me. Now i have to try and sell these all over again. Another fricken WEEK. Thats total bull****. You did not even bother to contact me before or after taking such an action.

Being that your paypal address is not confirmed i am left to assume you never really had the funds or any intention of actually paying for them. You were hoping i was simply stupid enough to ship them out before the clearing date.

Don't bother with me in my future sales. I'm relisting the tails for sale. If you want them your cost is now 20.00, via paypal, DIRECT payment. No echeck or clearence date BS.

wirelessdude04 sent me the following message:

wtf are you talkin bout it must off been when i closed my saving account and opened my checking and now im using my checkin for paypal
My response

Maybe you should not have closed a account with pending transactions.

The tails have been sold to another member.
My position on this matter does not change. I still regard him as a bad seller, and it is still my opinion he attempted to burn me. The tails have been sold to and paid for by another member. wirelessdude04 gave up any claim to these tails when he revoked payment, and i owe him nothing.

Negative feedback has also been submitted against wirelessdude04.

EDIT: I am modifying this post to include additional messages:

alright but i dont apperiate your nut *** remarks when not knowing the sitution... Maybe you should close your mouth before you run it. You could off said hey man the payments canceled what gives. but you give me a frickin book
My response

According to paypal the status "canceled" means the transaction was terminated by the other party via their paypal account.

I do not believe your "account closing" story, as this was not canceled by the issuing bank but the USER. I also have no further need to speak to you.

I dont mind the echeck. I mind that while i waited a week for it to clear, he canceled it. He can give me the bank bs all he wants, but paypal said it was a user cancel not a bank cancel.

It's cool to put up jester faces but you should at least explain to him why you didn't go through with the purchase if you sent him an echeck payment to then cancel it without notifying him.

yeah,i dont think that was right at all, to cancel the payment. And i can just imagine that if he didnt check to see if the payment was coming thru,he probably wudnt say anything and end up with tails.

I unfortunately always use echeck (hate me if you want), but i didn't know i could cancel it, (not that i would ever do such a thing). but whenever i buy something using paypal with echeck. I always tell them i prefer they wait till it clears and then they can send the product along, cause i don't really want to upset anyone

hahahaha, that reminds me of the line from Wedding Crashers; "you shut your mouth when your talking to me!" haha.

Why would you close an account while a transfer is in progress, that doesnt make any sense.

Hmm....I bet a mod can fix that, considering that it was not your fault at all.

shoot a PM to one of the admins (jeff92se, gtr_rider, etc) and they can probably fix it for you.

Tell them that I said it was justified to "fix" your rating.

Interesting...

He agreed to buy a Y-pipe from me. I quoted shipping and even agreed to take a $5 hit on it cause I'm a nice guy. After I gave him a quote he said, and I quote,"Deal, I will when I get home." Meaning he'd pay me when he "got home."

So, I am surfing the .org and noticed he installed a warpspeed Y-pipe. So, I can only assume he decided not to buy mine.

Again, it would have been nice to get an e-mail or PM letting me know.

As much as i dislike him right now, your post is completely pointless and inappropriate catalyst.

Mods can you close this thread, i think its seen enough life. Points have been made, issues resolved, it can serve no further purpose.

I know this is slightly different, but I thought I would share it anyways as an FYI. If someone pays you with a "real paper" check that bounces it is considered mail fraud. Simply report them to their local Posmaster General and they will handle it from there.
