Shaving rear light deck????
It has been done before. Try using the search function on the board to locate previous threads about it. Shaving it would be done just like shaving anything else. Use some body filler, then sand, then paint. This is in no way a DIY project unless you want your car to look like a local ricer. Body shops would have more info and pricing.

Personally I plan on shaving the whole thing all the way down to the bumper, whereas this person shaved it down to the chrome stripe.
