The one day I do not put my Max in the garage because it is POORING rain and I do not want to get out and get soaked (have yet to buy a garage door opener) my baby gets broken into on my driveway!!! I was at a party with my girlfriend and at 1:00 am my brothers call me up and tell me that they heard the alarm go off, they went outside and see this guy running! SO they chased him but could not cattch him!
He broke in very profesionally, no damage at all. But he stole my clock. The whole clock essembally is gone. Who the hell wants a clock! AND the b@st@rd cut the wires so now none of my interior or exterior lights work except my headlights and fog lights. Wrote up a police report but I doubt it will do anything. My dad has his Maxima on the driveway too, we are afraid the same guy might come back and do something to his, but his is a lease so mine gets the garage. WHY WHY WHY???? We have nice cars with nice mods that we all worked hard for to buy, why can't we just enjoy them. When I get my system installed I am getting an alarm put in. The kind where you can set the sensetivity so that if i want to have it on my driveway and someone even just walks by my house it will beep (i would not set *** that sensitive though, that is anoying). This is horrable.

Sorry to hear about your loss...The housing complex where I live is paving the streets around the neighborhood so I had to park my Max 3 blocks away...I didn't get much sleep last night because of it...I feel your pain.

well the clock assembly costs 200 from nissan so i guess the persond idn't wnat to pay 200 for the clock assembly, i just want the trim which runs around 40 bux for just the trim and i don't wanna pay tha tmuch.. but that still doesn't justify stealing.. i'm sorry i dind't steal your clock, i couldn't have even if i wanted to since i'm not in your area.. i suggest you put on a car cover next time u park outside, i found that a car cover does really help deter thiefs if you use the cable lock. it is easily cut, but at least it's a hassle thieves would much rather avoid.

I'm sorry to hear that. On a positive note at least they did not cause much damage entering the car. My car got broke into 5-6 months ago and they caused so much damage on the roof and side of the car, I had to get the roof and the WHOLE side of the car repaired and repainted.

PS. I would have ran my a$$ off to catch that guy, and then wooped his fu(king a$$!!!

My truck used to get broken into about 3-4 times a year, after the first 2 times of replacing stereo and stolen Cd's and such, not to mention drivers side window. These were really classy theives, break the window and open her up. I started leaving it unlocked, and put in the bigest piece of **** radio shack stereo I could find. That way if they wanted something, they opened it right up With Out breaking the window. Then they decided to steal the truck. Funny thing is, it was a 94 S-10 Pick up with a canopy. NOTHING fancy about it. It went through more oil than imaginable. Some criminls are not too smart.

damn...that really sucks, but you know? alarm can't stop theives...they'd just cut the wires and then break into your car. all i gotta say is just be careful and make sure you garage your car...sorry to hear that...

trust me it' snot all that much trouble if you know what you're doing, sometimes, or manytimes i get frightened so much, i want to get bullet proof windows, and shaved door handles, but then if someone wants my stuff, then take it, and they best total the car, i'm not sure i'de want my car if someone tampered with it.. it's just not going to be the same again u know what i mean??? as for the clock replacement, call up junk yards, don't spend 200 bux on that..

adamk: hey, the it-s, does it work really well? is it really sensitive? Does it make a chirp when it feels something? Our factory alarm does not have chirp so does it just go off with the slightest bump? also, how much does it cost and can you put it on yourself. very intrested. thanks in advance

okay well it's actually a sensor. It's connects to the alarm and basicly beeps if the car is bumped, its pretty sensitive imo. You have to call the code alarm people and ask for the local dealer of there stuff, in my area the it-s was ~$50.00 + another $50.00 for installation. Not sure if you can install it yourself, im not much of a good person with doing stuff like this around the car so im not sure if you can do it yourself...

This one guy installed it for me, actually for me and my friend. He put a used sensor on my friends car and a new one for me. The whole installation took like 5 minutes. However, my friends sensor works a lot better for some reason, every time a bus goes by or some car with a really loud exhoust his car goes off. But mine never does, only when something hits it.

It looked pretty easy how he installed it but don't ask me how because I have no clue. He just attached it to a few wires under my staring wheel and a little to the left.

because his is broken in.. j/p.. Does your firned have the same car?? i've noticed how my shock sensor works horribly on the max compared to my crx since it's alot heavier and sturdy, i want to get another one so i get dual zone shock sensors... a car with an exhaust can rev til it runs outa gas next to my max and the alarm wont go off. but with my crx, all they gotta do is have an intake down shift past my car and i wake up all my neighbors.

Stake the driveway out for a few nights with a good rifle.

I hate people who do crap like that

Seriously, I may be alone here but if someone feels like robbing a dealership for airbags or stuff, go on right ahead. But robbing a private person is just mean, I mean damn!

As far as the rifle goes I reccomend a 300 magnum, pull the trigger and knock the a$$holes head off
