Another trip to the gas station and a cool Acura driver.
As I pull in to the local Getty station, a white/black Acura VTEC (no other badging on the rear) coupe pulls in just in front of me...not quite cutting me off since he was actually there first. No problem, so I wait behind him. A car on the other side of the pumps pulls out and the attendant walks over and tells me that I can pull around for service so I do.
The Acura owner now had his window open since he was about to fill up also so he hears the SC 'whistle' from my car as I jockey into place on the opposite side of the pumps. He was a young guy probably in his mid-twenties and had no one else in the car with him.
He asks if my car is turbocharged. I say it's supercharged actually and he replies that he thought he could hear it but wasn't quite sure until he saw my OZ's and figured it must be tricked out. We discuss the SC kit a little and I ask him if he is stock and he says yes except for a few minor intake mods. He goes on to say how he likes the smooth look of my car overall and just showed general approval of it. I complimented his car also which looked nice and clean and we chatted a little until he was filled up and we each nodded and exchanged a 'Take it easy' and that was that.
No biggie here but I thought it was a beautiful thing that two performance car enthusiasts can appreciate each others rides without any rivalry or contempt getting in the way.

Usually I get people in a '94 Geo Storm staring at me with that "I wanna shoot you" look. Or punk *** kids at the Mobil in Brewster, NY. Who chill on their riced out Civics. They just stare like idiots. SO I don't talk to them either.
