spilled my coffee and it came out under the car
My coffee spilled right into the gearshift boot. By the time I pulled over to wipe it up, most of it was gone! I checked and found a tiny crack in the boot around the shift. So I got out of the car and saw it dripping underneath. Seems kinda cheesy that the only thing between the road and the cabin is a vinyl boot and some linkage. Amazing, huh? Don't try this with your M3 because it's designed for performance, not spills! *lol*
He was just sharing an observation, goodness. Don't see where he said go try it!
I know you guys are just playing. Anyhow, I think most stick shifts are like this, if you remove the boot, you have the shifter and some linkage. Nothing can really come in the cabin, but if you spill something on it, it will run around the tranny and drip under the car.
