the more I drive my 98 SE
The more I'm impressed with the fuel economy. 51k, never been tuned yet except as I've said, the K & N reoilings and oil changes. Trip from Philly to VA and back was 28.5 mpg, and there was some city driving included. Nissan should push their motor past the 30 epa highway mark because it wouldn't take much.
I agree with you man. My old '92 GXE used to get 200 miles to a tank. I'm much more impressed with my new Maxima's fuel economy. My dad borrowed it yesterday to drive to Atlantic City and back. He drove 150 miles and I still have 3/4 tank left. That was mostly highway miles though. On average, I get about 350 miles to a tank in the '97.

Me and my bro'(from out of town) were there yesterday, then we did the Somers Pt./Ocean City NJ thing. Yep, the car sips the fuel on the AC Expressway. It's tough because city driving is unavoidable when Philly is the starting point. But when I lived in the country I did 33 mpg on the Maxima on the highway.
I keep telling myself as the miles climb, if the mpgs are in-line then the motor is in good condition. I'm not even sure if I'll do the 60k plug change. I'm open to suggestions everyone. You tell me I need it, it's done.
