So I'm driving to work this morning when this silver Daewoo hatchback something or other pulls up next to me. The driver looks over at me, gives me a dirty look, and tries to take off. Not wanting to really waste gas on him, I let him get about 10 car lengths ahead before I floored it and passed him. As I passed him, I got about 3 car lengths ahead before I pressed on the brakes and let him come even. I then looked at him, shook my head and waved my finger at him, ah ah ah, just had to laugh Well as this happens, a 70's chevy truck slammed to the ground with rims, but looking primered over the rest, comes flying by. I saw him at the last minute, and I floored it as soon as I saw him coming. It took to about 100 to catch up, and then slowly start passing him. The guy was glaring at me as I passed, and even though he was rapidly approaching the cars in front of him, he kept going. We went at it a few more times, but he couldn't get the jump on me again. I finally decided it would be best to keep my good driving record and slow down. Who knows where the Daewoo went...

Speaking of daewoos, the president of my car club has a turbocharged daewoo lanos (thats the hatchback thing you are talking about) its pretty quick, low 14s. He also has a 12 second talon, he's trying to sell the deawoo if anyones interested. it's a 99 with only 30k miles hehe.

No, I was on my way to work, and I don't normally drive around with the bottle turned on, guess I should get a remote opener someday... NOS against a Daewoo?

What's funny is Daewoo and Hynudai make some seriously fast Rally cars. Hyndai does at least.

Some Hyundais do have the 2.0L N/T DSM (aka T/E/L)motor in them. They are usually swapped out with the 2.0L T motor (aka 4G63).

Sorry, i used to own a DSM till it died. Damn fast cars w/ minimal mods. I would take a 1st gen if i could over my Max.

lol

I also played with a truck last weekend and the guy got so ****ed I smoked his Silverado, he followed me home. He cornered me (I just passed my apartment and started circling randomly) and started cussing me out and telling me I was an F***ing moron. He threatened to come out and kick my a** and asked me if I wanted to go outside and handle it like "men." All the while, I kinda had this amused look on my face. Haha. Some people (though I kinda wished I would have gone out to kick his a**, but didn't cause he might of had a gun).

well if they are shoving DSM motors in there, hen that's not a hyundai or a daewoo anymore, IMO. The rally hyundai was doing pretty well last I checked in WRC, but I don't like it...I like Makkinen! :-D
