I was wondering if anyone has painted their grille? I am thinking of painting my 98 GXE chrome grille body color.. which is superblack... I am just wondering if anyone has done this on the 4th gen, the 3rd gen was probably easier because it was metal but the 4th gen is plastic. damn nissan.. Would I need to sand it down? or use primer or clear coat? I am just concerned about messing it up or making it look really dull... I want it to be shiney to match the paint.
Has anyone done this or know how it can be done well, I want to save some $, don't feel like getting an SE grille

Lots of problems

The main thing I would be worried about is peeling. After using probably like a 2000 grit sandpaper (maybe a little lower) using car paint from an auto store and a clearcoat would probably do the trick. But how long will that last.
Maybe look into taking it to a auto shop. I should be too expensive to paint that little thing.
Those are my thoughts.
