When I shift and accelerate I get a squeek in my suspension as the cars nose raises and lowers. Anything but the softest acceleration causes tha squeak. A friend says it is the bushings an I could just spray silicone on them. Anyone agree or have other thoughts?

Notice any extra fluids...

It could be a busted strut...

it's most likely the polyurethane bushings.

I had that problem and it turned out to be that the jack wasn't properly tightend down. So if you've used your jack in recent days (or even if you haven't - could've come loose) you might check it. Take it out and drive around for a bit...see if it continues.

Sounds simple but, let's face it, I'm a simple person.

hope it helps,

same here

I have noticed this small creaky noise in the back of my car when I am going very slow--say starting to move from a standstill. In any case, it sounds as though some rubber/ or polyurthene bushing needs lubrication?

But it does come from the rear left (driver) side...anyone noticed this?

Thanks for all the replies. I have the stock set up and have over 100,000 miles. Noticed the squeek around 80,000 miles or so. BUT the car's 1st 80,000 of life were true hwy miles where I'd get on the hwy and keep it in 5th for 100 miles each way. In fact I still have the original brake pads! In the last 20,000+ miles I have accelerated and played more than in the car's 1st 80,000 miles and the squeek showed itself. I may try and spray the bushings to see if it helps. Otherwise, I may have to get some new suspension....
