I received in the mail a questionnaire from a company called Motoresearch. The questonnaire is from a "major manufacturer" and is a entry to an Automotive Evaluation research in September. If selected for the AE they give $150 cash and the loss of 2 1/2 to 3 hours of your time.

Aside from getting $150 cash, what do you guys think that this AE could be? Test drive new car(s) and give an opinion? or just more questions?

I participated the similar automotive research early this year. forgot the resaerch institute's name. It took about 1.5 hours, and I got the $150 check after the event. There were six cars with logo removed so no one "knows" what maufacturer it is. Since five of them were existing cars so at least I knew them. The last car were made of wood. I had a sheet of paper to note my comments on each cars interior like dashboard, seating, ease of getting in and out, ...
exterior, etc. There was anothe wood car in a seperate room which looked just like Cadillac.
After the event I thought the resaerch is for a new Cadillac.

Is it a waste of time? Or is it worth going and because of the $150 either?

my feeling is neutral. If I got something to do then I'd not go, otherwise I'd go for a bit fun.
