car keeps not starting. it is turning over but wont start, then i'll go back 20 mintutes later and it will start. have 67000 miles 99' 5sp

 

It could be a problem w/ the NVIS - Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System. All maxima 99' and up comes w/ it. I had that problem before, where the engine would turn but not start. Your key has a unique chip/transponder that verifies itself w/ the immobilizer system. If they dont match your car wont start. Dont keep on trying if it wont start ( I tried ), it will eventually disable the car and you will need nissan to reprogram the damn system. You should either wait for about 15 min or try the other key. Also that the bad key to the dealer to reprogram. Make sure you dont have any other device that might interfere w/ the chip/transponder such as a mobil speed pass.
