OK¡¦I¡¯m thinking about cutting down those yellow marked horizontal bar to make front opening look little wider.
I felt Max¡¯s front looks somewhat clogged up and I want to make the opening little bit bigger in order to achieve more aggressive look.
I¡¯m not into the body kit thing on my Max, so that's out of question.

What do you think about this Mod guys?
Is this safe to my front bumper?
Any inputs welcome!

Also I thought about filling up the opening with Hella rally lights like ones shown at the top.
Then again... too many lights and it might look "RICED"

This may help...

It looks nice but, if you ask me if you do this mod you really should have an intercooler, or some sort of mesh vanence.

BTW...this is the same car which has the Skyline rear end. A nice looking car IMO, too bad others don't feel the same.

Can I assume that cutting in this way does not effect the performance of the bumper. I know it is light, thin piece, but the bumper is designed to absorb shock. Is there anything behind this portion of the bumper?

Too be honest with you, the real bumper of cars, is actually, the BIGmetal bar that is under that "bumper cover". So really cutting that may, give off some absorbsion but it still does the job. HOPEFULLY

sickmen im sure you have been asked a million times but here goes: where did you find the mesh for your bumper inserts and how much was it?? Im asking cause the mesh that im using is very thin and doenst seem to paint very well or look as full as yours does. Do you have any closer shots of just the mesh on your car??

why i happen to be well known for having some good looking mesh, yu would have to redo yours sickmen, i cut out pieces of my bumper (97-99) such as the license plate holder and the horizontal bars where the fog lights go, there is styrofoam back there, but that can be removed, just make sure you recover it

Hey! That opening is even bigger than what I thought¡¦ I think I need a new custom mesh for this project!

Yes! this is the blue tinted film.
You can find more info on this mod by searching my post at 4gen under ¡°poorman¡¯s cheapa$$ almost HID¡¦.¡±

Redmax & NY96, my gutter is the ones from Homedepo and it cost me $2!
The gutter guard is called ¡°gutter world¡± and they¡¯ve nice silver & dark almost black finish, too¡¦ no need to paint them because this one is fade-proof and was on sale for .88cents for 4feet of gutter.

Please seach 4 th under ¡°poorman¡¯s complete $2 front cosmetic makeover¡±
You¡¯ll find all the info you¡¯re looking for.

As far as the new big opening I think I need an new mesh to cover there otherwise it look s**t.

Thanks for all your help and interest guys!
