Chrome wheel maintenance
Well i just got in my new rims yesterday, i was wondering about any tips yall could give me in keeping them looking new, i hope to have these things for a few years, i will get some pics when i put them on tomorrow
Are they real chrome, or techrome? If they are real chrome, wash them often. If you can't wash them all the time, just spray them down with window cleaner and wipe them off. If you develop rust on them, wash them with a Brillo Pad. (the kind with the pink soap on them) If they are Techrome, which is painted chrome., just try to keep them clean.
Chrome
Never take it to a cheap shop to have the wheels removed.. They will most likely scratch up the rim while using the Pnematic drill..
Get a Toque Wrench.
Tape up your metal sockets so as not to scratch up the rims while tightening or removing lug nuts.
Watch out for curbs when parallel parking(use your power mirrors)
Clean them at least twice a week with water or car wash soap.
Polish them about once a month.. Get quality polish that won't leave hairline scratches(make sure the rims are super clean before polishing)..
