2002 Maxima 6spd Commercial
damnit,
I was sitting here on the comptuer and heard an engine roar. I yelled and asked my mom what kinda car it was. she had left the room. I heard the engine scream again and jump out of my seat. I was tehre to cetch the tail lights of the new maxima. Argg. so close, yet so far away =)

haha, i love that commercial! i was sittin in the chair writing a letter to a friend of mine last night and it came on, and i had to mention in the letter to my friend about it, cuz she knows how i am about my car and all, and i told her how it gave me chills, lol...
I saw the commercial too. It seemed the Maxima was either unusually loud, or accelerating hard (or holding high revs). It was clearly a 2-3 shift, but correct me if I am wrong, but if shifting at redline, isn't the 2-3 shift near 60MPH? Can a horse run 60MPH? I don't think so. Well, it was the grim reaper, so it may have been a magic horse.
that is a good yet funny point..

IMO the 2k2 looks better..
I believe the guy on the horse is supposed to be the Grim Reaper, and the ad is basically the Maxima as we know it saying (puts on best Monty Python voice) "I'm not dead yet!!"

I think the commercial is stupid, but I have little love for Nissan anyway......
I'm not a 5-speed know-it-all by any means, but he was shifting into 5th; it was too far right to be going into 3rd........but it was staged anyway.
I liked their previous commercials better....the new direction seems iffy to me......

3rd gear or 5th gear...doesn't matter. That horse is hauling *** to be chasing a Maxima at that speed.
But yeah I think the chasing the sunset ad was better than this one.
Geez you guys!
Heh yeah that horse is the Grim Reaper. Which means that the new Maxima is SOOOOO fast, that it can outrun death! I don't know of any other car that can outrun death, that's not an easy feat. At least, that's how I took the commercial. I liked it though.

LOL....FINALLY someone gets it right. He wasn't drag racing the maxima....he's trying to kill it. The damn car is just to fast even for death.

The irony is that going too fast (and not being able to safely stop) is what gets people killed.
