Well, I was heading back up to school after the labor day weekend, going down I70 in middle missouri. I see a 3000GT SL with 3 people (kids), I try and play (I have 2 people) but he won't bite, so I pass and continue on. Then, I see this yamaha crotch rocket (no idea what model). I blow past the guy to give him the idea. then, i slow down and he pull up. I floor it and he does the same, without downshifting! He couldn't pull! We hit traffic and slow down, then we hit a stretch and again, i nail it first, but this time the guy diownshifts and Wham, he's pulling harder than any car I've raced! He blows by me. We slow down again, and then hit a rellay long flat open stretch, and open it up at 80 mph. He passes me about 95, and just keeps pulling. by about 120 (fastest i've yet gone in this car) he's about 8 car lengths ahead, or whatever that translates too in bike lengths. anyways, we slow down and he gives me the thumbs up and i do the same. but, by now, the 3000GT had noticed us and decided to play. so we go at it again. I floor it once, with the gt behind me and bike on the side. bike rocked me again, cutting in front of me to dodge a semi and the GT was getting hawked. then, i let the gt and bike in front of me for traffic, we find an open spot and hit it once more, bike in right lane, gt and me in left lane with gt right in front of me. gt hits it first, then bike, then me at about 80. bike is gone, of course, andbut by about 100 i'm pulling VERY hard on the 3000GT and by about 110 i'm riding his *** and slowing down cuz there's a car in the other lane. anyways, the gt slows down in shame (sports car beaten by a 4 door luxury sedan - ha ha) and me and the bike cruise on. he points back at the GT and makes a dismissal gesture and then points from him to me and gives the thumbs up. i smiled and gave thumbs up back. i had to turn off a few exits later to get my passengers some food but what a cool biker dude! and the best races i've ever had!

Hey, I noticed you posted quarter mile times in your sig (if they've been there awhile, I apologize, I haven't been around much). Did you make that run bone stock? I think I smell hope for the automagics...or maybe it's fear...

Nice race story Ironlord! Way to show the GT guy!
Yeah, what mods did you have when you ran the 1/4 time in your sig? If UMD_MaxSE is right and you only had a K&N drop in filter, there is hope for us automagics yet!!! We will keep hoping a bigger dream...

yeah, the motorcycle guy was aweome and it was a lot of fun. and yes, the 1/4 time in my sig is stock except for a k&n drop in. i dropped tire psi to about 25 and tried to flash the TC and manually shifted. i banged the redline sligghtly on 1-2. it was a real good night tho, cool and not humid. it was great. i'm still disappointed at my 60' if i can bring that down it'll be well into the 15.5's which is what everyone says stock autos should be. and BTW, i diodn't take anything out to save weight, had my spare tire, tool box, and air compressor in the trunk...

Automagics rule!

Kills 10-2 What was your other loss beside the yamaha or whatever bike it was? How is school going and what school are you attending?

It was another bike that was behind me and i kept trying to pull but it was basically touching my bumper and laughing at me the entire time. the only street races i've lost are to bikes. now, the track is a different story... anyway, i'm at truman state u. in kirksville missouri. its cool, lots of fun, but thisd whole classes thing really gets in the way.
