Let's just say it was a bloody battle.

Lunchtime at the Bennigan's parking lot. The Saleen driver was going to his car. I got to my car first, cranked it up, and even before he knew what whizzed past him, I was already 5 carlengths ahead. Ugly, ugly scene.

6 PM, rush hour. I managed to overtake and outmaneuver an M coupe in the meandering drive thru lanes of the martinizing cleaners. Once I passed him, we exchanged a thumbs up (and a couple of middle fingers) and flashed our brights. The M driver admitted his defeat. I'd hate to be that M driver that time.

I'm gonna add 2 more notches on my kill list...

Does the number designation on the Saleen list its horsepower? Like the Saleen 381 has 381HP? Or is it a designation of the build number, like 381 out of 1000?

This is on-topic because I was going to race this Saleen Mustang once, it had Saleen 281 or 231 on it, can't remember which one.

THe S281 is a 4.6 Block supercharged. Ths s 351 (very rare) is a 351 windsor block (5.8 liters).

So what kind of HP do these engines put out? I was going to race that S281, but I thought all Saleens were too powerful for my Max.

I acutally looked up www.saleen.com after the big kill and that S351 has s/c'd 490 hp and 490 lb ft torque . I was actually humbled by the stats. If it was legit race, I think I would've lost

Hey, to quote "The Fast and the Furious"... it doesn't matter is you win by a inch or a mile... a win is a win!!!
But I seriously though, when I read the title of the post, that someone was going to jail soon!
