I have a 2000, 5spd but can't read data with my OBD2. I tried another vechicle without any problems. Then remember something about turning a screw. When I found the computer thing two holes were covered by tape and a red ink seal!

Anybody ever read data from an OBD2 scanner? What steps did you follow? Should I break the seal?

I do not think those work on our cars. There are only two I know of: http://www.obd-2.com and a new one mentioned in the http://www.5thgenmaximas.com General Discussion area (I have not looked into this one yet).

It's a $700 Kal Scan II - KM9600.
Read no MIL but doesn't seem to give real time data.

well...

I have the "http://www.obd-2.com" reader and it works as advertised... I got in on the group deal and paid $72.

if you go there and look at the screen captures, you'll see what all it can do with codes, logging, and whatnot..

lemme know if I can tell you anything else 'bout it.
