! Looking for NEW Family Car, $26,000 !

Hey guys ... the ALTIMA really disappointed my Family when we saw it in Person.

My family took our Deposit Back and now we're back to square 1.

What would YOU buy for $35,000 Canadian, which is about $25,000 American equivilent (our cars here are slightly cheaper)

We Need something Safe and comfortable, and I want something DECENT looking so no AZTEC or PT Cruiser.

And I would REALLY prefer Japanese or German.
4WD would be a PLUS.

I'm thinking of ANOTHER Maxima for my Parents.

Any Suggestions??????

i think you should get a maxima.
-room
-power
-best bang for the buck, nothing beats what you can get for the money your spending

but.. as for safety..
its marginal in the highway safety crashes..

Sell them your car and buy a 2002 Max for yourself. I would look into a 01 or 02 Pathfinder for them if they want a 4wd. There should be good deals on the 01. VW's are very solid built car's but there are to many problems with them. My boss and my friend both have 99 Passats with the 1.8T. My friends ECU crashed and he had to pay $800 for a new one. My bosses doesn't start when it gets real cold out (-30c). Good luck with the search.

The Civic only has CAI for mods, the Max is still stock (300miles), but by seat of the pants the Max feels waaaaaay faster. I bought the Max because I needed a new family car for my new family. It just happens to be very fast family car.
