Parking Lights and Fogs not turning on!!!!!! ??

It happened last night while i was driving that i realized that my fogs are not on. I came out of the car and saw only the headlights working. that means my tail lights, fog lights, side markers, clearance lights all are out. but the side markers do BLINK when i turn on the blinkers. I am assuming its a bad fuse? Was I suppose to put a bigger fuse since i re-wired fogs and also put those extra side markers connected to the parking lights? HELP ME OUT PLEASE. Thanks in aDvAnCe

You have modified your Maxima's electrical system. Therefore my manuals provide little help. You have probably blown a fuse but I can't tell you which fuses to check. Check them all.

A fuse is a protective device. It protects the wiring on the branch circuit which it serves. If Nissan put a 7.5 amp fuse on a circuit that means the wire on that circuit is sized to safely handle 7.5 amps. When you change the fuse to a higher rating you are defeating this safety mechanism. This may work in the short term but not in the long term.

It is always a mistake to upgrade a fuse. You are risking a "toasted" wiring harness and a big repair bill.

It's the taillight fuse if you are wondering, and just upgrade the fuse by 2.5 amps or something. That should work fine.

So the taillight fuse is the thing that makes the parking light work too? my brake lights do work fine when i put brakes.

Max4speed...same thing happend to me, i rewired my parking lights and they plus the tail lights wouldnt work...our taillights are double filament bulbs too..when u push the brake the 2nd filament turns on while the 1st is on when your parking lights are on which in this case the parking lights are not working.
