So I am leaving the movie theatres tonight and as I walk towards my car this guy and girl are pointing at my exhaust, then my tail lights, then my trunk lid, then this and that and this and that.. so I roll down the front windows with the remote and they kind of walk on.

As I get close to the car the kid yells "nice car," as he steps into his 95-96 with altezzas, 18inch really gay chromies, stock ride height, and stock exhaust. I say "you too" out of politeness and a fellow max owner.. and leave the parking lot. I pulled over to wait for him to pass me and as he passes I can see his one head light out, green corners, bumper lights, washer LED's, and side markers.. none of the green matched.

I couldn't hear anything when he passed, but I caught up to him and rev'ed it up and as soon as i put it in neutral to rev he floors and slowly pulls away, as I am in neutral... The light ahead turns red and I asked:

me: yo, what engine mods do you have??
him: .......(something) charger (super or turbo, couldnt make it out)
me: really??? what psi are you running??
him: no psi, a supercharger by turbotech
me: oh okay, that's cool, rev it up man i wanna hear it
him: (rev rev) you like that

This is when all i hear is an intake.. THAT'S ALL.. and i know of no company turbotech and that vortech makes the only supercharger..

me: let me see what you got??
him: nah, I have too many tickets to speed

From a stop in a 55MPH straight newly paved road.. not even to 60??

me: oh okay, come on just a little
him: okay

He floors it and doesnt squeel the tires. I let him get a car length or 2 on me and i put it down.. almost immediately catching up, at 55 i had it down half way and his engine was screaming..

me: supercharger not hooked up??
him: nah, you must have nitrous huh???
me: yeah that's it...

I pulled a U-turn and left.. wow, that was funny.. where are my jersey max owners??

 

maybe he has the tornado air s/c

funny story though

 

i didnt know my car was sooo fast?? i guess its the stock 15's.

 

Do you have any stickers? Those might be giving you the edge...

It's not funny, its sad that he's trying to fool a fellow Maxima owner. You should have peed on his car.

 

Maybe he said "pop" charger which is another brand of cone intake like the one from Stillen.

Some guys just prefer to look fast instead of be fast.

it was a dark color yes.. and Jim, I know he didn't say pop-charger, it's funny that he wasn't running any boost tho, i didnt know the new stillen SC's can do that.. and with my 15's i can spin for a second or two pretty well, i have a lot of weight added so..

wish there were more max's down here.. miss you NJ guys

chrome wheels tend to be heavy and they were ugly to boot, so i am sure that added to the weight..

I can spin my tires even though my rims are chrome.

 

Car is coming good, getting inspected today and new tires, well 2 new tires at least and got my new plates "1FstMax", going home this weekend to pick it up, so my short list of mods includes, shiftknob/ebrake, hardwire V1, piaa fog bulbs, philips blue vision 9004's, clears all around and PR CAI intake and greddy if it gets there intime

 

what, I was told the supercharger was stock in my new maxima !!!!

 

haha, these people, i think its funny to mess with people with the windows and using the clicker, i could spin the tires in my auto when i had my 15s but now with my new chrome 17s an tires i havent burned my new beautiful rubber

 

stock 16's on original factory tires (Eagle RSA's)...easily spinable.

My car is just fast, that is b/c i have that STOCK OEM S/C that it came with...Duh!
