Someone had mentioned that there is a large metal object right in the same spot as where the supercharger goes on 3.0s. Does this mean 2K2 Max and 3.5SE Altimas have to go NOS or do any of you guys out there "looking into making a turbo" think the turbo option is still viable with the new motors?

I bet with a little reengineering...it will work just fine after all it's still the same basic engine...just bored out with a different intake manifold and engine dressing...

Yeah. I just don't know if it's simply a bracket or actually a device or important part of some kind. I haven't gotten to see one up close to check. You are probably right though.

Won't work with the current SC kits. Stillen will have to redesign the bracket to have the SC fit... that's if there's enough space.

Yeah, they might as well make one for the VE while they're at it...

With the advent of varible timing on the new 3.5 liter VQ's intake cams, the front covers are no doubt different. As Kevy says, the current bracket probably won't work.

Definitely won't work... the variable timing hunk of metal sticks out way too much. It basically sits where the SC pulley would be.

I must agree with you. I spent a little while looking at 2k2 3.5L Max & Alt at the dealer the other day. The 3.5 heads are different, but the block looks exactly the same. Motor mounts, accessory mounts, trans bolting all look the same. Hmmmmm......

I bet they woun't make a s/c kit for the 2k2 max cuz the 2k3 max is gonna be all new and the 2k+2k1 max are the same so it's prob not gonna be cost effective. but im just guessing.

Just give someone a littl bit of time. And they will start inventing tons of mods for them.

True, but the 02 altima and maxima share the same engine, so once the new maxima comes out, you could still use the sc on the altima. I'm thinking $tillen would want to have more mods for the altima than the maxima seeing as it's brand new, more sporty, independent suspension, etc. Just my 2 cents.

i know where you can see a 2k3 maxima. they have them secretly stashed at all nissan dealerships. they hid them among the 2k2 inventory.

I noticed the different headlights and grill, and asked to see it. The car was supposed to be a promo vehicle to be driven by the dealer manager. After him enough cash to wait for the next '02 to come in, I drove it home.
I had the first '02 max in cali. for about 2 weeks.
