can you put a 89 300zx turbo on a 96 max

I looked in the search but they only talked about engine swaps
I was just wondering if it was possible to just put the turbo on
sorry if a dumb question

None of the parts would direct-fit. but I'm sure you could use the actual turbocharger itself with lots of custom parts to hold it on...
