hey guys! How do I get this annoying mark off of my w/s???
Everytime it rains and I use my wipers, the right wiper leaves a mark the length of the wiper right at the farmost left travel of the wiper (does that make sense?) I looks like some sort of buildup but I've cleaned the wipers and the mark still appears....
Ok so I scrub the crap out of the window with windex, paper towels, newspaper etc and the mark still comes back....now get this...when I spray the window with Windex and go to clean it...a line in the exact shape of the mark appears on the window! It's like it is all Windexy(is that a word?)around this mark running right down the window...
Any ideas what this could be and how I can get rid of it?
Anyone else with a 2K that has seen this mark?
Weird how it shows up through the Windex....window is all wet except for this line that appears dry exactly where the wiper stops....weird

Maybe you got wax or rain X on your windshield?...
try not to put or wipe your windows with it.
I would recommend a product from stoner called invisible glass... this works and cleans better than any windex i've seen. give it a try

Re: Yeah.. maybe the dealer
I have found RainX to work very well when it is freshly applied and for several weeks thereafter. Rain beads off the windshield and the wipers can be used on intermittent if needed at all. The problem comes when it starts to wear off. The wipers can skip and there is a residue on the up side of the swipe. If not reapplied, it eventually will wear off completely. I ordered the window cleaner from Griots Garage over the weekend and will see how that works. Windex (and products like it) tend to streak no matter how clean I try and get them. Consumer Reports frequently gives their own concoction for making your own window cleaner, probably will do at least as good a job as the Windex type products.
Get some of the Zaino window cleaner from http://www.zainobros.com, it's a mildly abrasive glass cleaner/polish. I do it about once a month, leaves the glass crystal clear and get's rid of just about any gunk/buildup. Just make sure you put it on light or you'll have powder all over the place and you'll never get it all buffed off...
