making headlights defeatble DRL's
Not sure how many of you know this, but I was tinkering around and found that if you disconnect the dusk sensor on the dashboard (black circle on the drivers side) the auto headlights think its always dark out...so your headlights will always come on when you turn the car on and they will turn off according to your headlamp delay setting (i have it set to no delay, they turn off after you turn off the car, open the door than shut it again) it doesnt affect anything else or any other systems so it works great, and no one can tell you've done it.
This may be good for those of you (like me) that used to own 5th gen maximas and liked to keep your headlights in the ON position..because that did virtually the same thing as above as opposed to 5.5 and 6gen making the headlights stay on for 5 mins with the headlamps switched to "ON"

I have a parking permit that always slides over and covers the sensor thus turning the lights on. You can just cover it up the same way or with black electrical tape if you really wanna drive with the headlights on all the time.
interesting. ive been thinking of wiring my foglights to come on as drls but have them set on the auto feature so they would turn off when the car is turned off and on when i start it. i think i would need to tap the auto wire in the stalk. any ideas on which wire is for the auto setting?
