You could...thats your call. Out of all the things I read about the Cattman, I would wait. I bought mine used and love it. I think if $$ isnt an issue, wait for the good stuff. Let us know what you do!

I never had any problems with the flex section on my warpspeed. Cheap and gets the job done.. The cattman y-pipe is obviously much better built with better parts, but for the price of the cattman y-pipe, id just save up and buy headers.

I would have gladly kept it and fixed it if I knew the truth back then. I bought it USED for 250$ back in 2000.

After I got the WSP in, I was horrified by the sound, @ non-equal length harmonics. If I wanted the sound of an L36, I would have bought a GP.

Oh my god. NmexMAX..i bet you were kicking yourself in the *** after you threw it away. Man i would have payed you money for that y-pipe. Too bad at the time i dont even know if i was around and or had a maxima lol. Man i wish i could find an equal length y-pipe but i figure people would be asking too much for it, and then it would just be more beneficial to get headers(should have got some hot shots while they were going ot of buisness).

Im just waiting for some noob to sell his 1st gen stillen equal length y-pipe for cheap when he parts out his car. Thats were i come into play haha

I have the 1st gen stillen ypipe. Was there a performance difference with it. I always noticed that the ypipes i've seen lately looked different. I also remember that it was expensive back when I bought but I figured prices just went down with more people making them.

Would Budget be better than warpseed then? Are THEIR flex-sections better?

I don't have problem with my flex section and I have a Warpspeed. I'd just go with the budget one because they've had less reported problems and cost the same.

Please stop posting until you know what you're talking about.
Look at the dynos of all of them and the build quality before making statements like that.

they all DO the same thing, but the performance and build quality are HUGELY different between the brands.

That said, the Cattman is worth the wait.

If you would have understood my post then you would have realized that I never mentioned anything about quality or performance....I just said they all do the same thing....

So before you go all half cawked on something reread it again.

But wasnt that with the cattman headers too ? Because from my knowledge if you dont have headers your only going to get about 15hp from any ypipe.

Yeah somewhat recently i replaced my exhaust with greddy sp2,becuase it rusted out by the resonator(well i needed a catback anyways) so i was all happy for about a month.now my damn y pipe on the end by the cat. broke off after rusting to ****.Was looking into getting budget but since i got a new better job and i have a connection to a muffler shop im going to get a flex peice or whatever they want to cut off and just slap something together to fix it untill i save for headers. The reason ive decided to do this is becuase when i got my intake,i overpaid for it and thought thats all i could get for it(injen) then i discovered the org.Realized i could of got a way better intake for way cheaper and i constantly racked my brain on changing it.I never have but when i buy my winter max next month i will, and put the injen on the winter car.Point is dont go get something becuase its cheaper and this and that.Because you may not be happy and end up spending more money in the end.Do it the right way,the first time.Do it the Cattman way! Thats my plan and so if headers are high priced, its more power, makes the best sound a max could make well n/a(turbo is best) and is top qaulity for your car.You love you car right(probally more then your girlfriend/wife lol) so you should save up and get full length headers.Youll be more happy in the end.

"You'll get what you paid for". I had warpspeed -> (bee in the can sound), sold it, and get cattman. Never had any issue.

Remember the night you and I were driving around Tulsa after you installed the 1st gen WSP pipe? Man that thing sounded horrid...

You revved at some guy in a Z32 and he turned and gave me a nasty look. "WTF did you do to that poor car?" then rolled up his window and left..

Yeah. That was before I had the Greddy SP I'm pretty sure. I was at some meet in Dallas and bounced it off rev limiter and some Supra guy thought I was boostin.

Pretty sure it was mass produced, just like every other y-pipe they have sold. If there is a performance gain, it won’t be much. There is no proof of one re: dynos. The sound alone is worth it.

The stillen pipe was like that till the gay assed 99 cali spec POS came out. That ruined it all. One pipe that fits all VQ30's = more profit, even if it sounds like poopie.
