Front Bank, Rear Bank??? P0140 Help

Hello-

I have a Cali Spec 99 (manufacture date of late 98) Maxima. I am getting the code P0140, but my question is when I place my order which one do I need:

1. Sensor located in front the manifold/exhaust pipe before the catalyst on the left side

OR

2. Sensor located in front the manifold/exhaust pipe before the catalyst on the right side

Thank 4 the help!!
-Renee

Actually neither.

P0140 refers to the rear sensor on Bank 1, which is the bank closest to the firewall.

If your profile is correct though, your y-pipe has deleted the pre-cats. Not sure why you are getting a code for rear O2, since the catalysts they would be monitoring are not there.

Thanks for the help. For further clarification, the car is currently throwing P0160 and P0158. I've gone through the service manual and I can't figure out which is which. I'll post up another diagram when I get home.

Thanks,
Lamar
