Polishing your stainless mufflers

Guys, curious what you all are using to polish your mufflers. Obviously concerned with the outside keeping them looking decent and also the tips where the black soot from exhaust builds up at the edges.

I think I have the Mothers Aluminum polish. Works really well. You can also just use any aluminum or metal polish.

OK if they're too grungy you may need a good polish first, then Windex for upkeep!!!

I'll just "borrow" a can of Sheila Shine from my work kitchen once in awhile.
