Whats the scoop on these things? I've never heard of them until recently reading about them here on the .org. I hadn't been on here for a while, so I'm a little out of it. I was thinking of buying one for my new to me 04 on the GD. All I've had in the past is K and N and Stealin.

+1 on the growl. the fujita is a spectacular cai. everything about the product is great from the performance down to the price. you can not go wrong with this mod for your 6th gen. i mean come on 2 smoke max owners are telling you to do it.. soo DO IT.

 

I know I'm just being overly paranoid, but I'm concerned about getting water in my motor w/ a CAI. Has anybody tried putting the AEM bypass on a Fujita? Can it be done?

No meaning an AEM bypass won't work, or no meaning quit being so paranoid?

 

You cant put an AEM bypass on a fujita because it's a one piece design. If you want an AEM bypass get the nismo CAI it comes with one.

 

if u use a bypass u lose power... might as well use a warm air intake...

just get a fujita and dont drive when its a monsoon out side... and dont drive in HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE puddles... and dont drive like u have no brain and you will be fine !

 

I have one, and I was right with the rest of the nation worried about water. No issues and more power. Gotta love it!!

 

What about Injen? Can it be used with that?

 

I dont think so injen is a 1 piece design as well if I'm not mistaken. Like they said above you have to have that thing submerged in water for to suck it in. I've had mine for over a year now and now issues. I drive in the rain snow etc. no problems.

 

I know, I'm just paranoid.

It looked to me like it might work - description says it converts to a short ram. Can the bypass it in between the two pieces?

I run Injen and very happy with it. It's more spensive than the Fujita but SOOO much prettier! And yes the Injen can easily convert to short ram as it's a 2-piece system. I wouldn't do it but kinda cool knowing ya can if you want to.

 

Mack, does the dealership ever give you any negative feedback regarding claiming warranty work due to the intake?

 

NOPE. I talked to the senior service manager at my dealership. Not only did he advise these did not void warranty in anyway, he said he really liked the INJEN and Stillen upgrades! Very cool guy and he knows a lot of us are buying Max's cuz they are one Bad@ss ride.

 

Could an AEM bypass be used with it? Would it fit where you convert it to short ram?

 

I honestly kinda think thats why it's a split pipe, perfect for both bypass and short ram applications. I say go for it, or if you're skeptical give the Injen guys a call and just ask.
