wasup i just put in a 2001 20th Ae tranny in my can but it did not come with a speed meter sensor so i used my old one from the other tranny but now the speedometer does not work and my car keeps shutting off anytime i slow down and i also used the old neutral safety switch from the old tranny as well are the sensor different and the check engine light is on

 

i'm not absolutely certain, but i think the VSS on the 2001 tranny was different. a symptom of our cars is that if you unplug thet speedo, the car will shut off every few miles. You might need to use the proper sensor so that it does not keep shutting off.

 

hey buddy if you wanna sell that tranny let me know i will take that 20th anniversary tranny from you asap

 

I'll bet on the speed sensor too.

Buy a new one, they're less than $30.
