replacing rear drivers side door

hi guys i'm in the process of replacing rear drivers side door on my 97 maxima and i have the new door on which came out of a 96 and the wiring is different the car only has 3 wires going to the door and that is what the old door had was three wires connecting to the cars 3 wires. The new door has 4 wires which are the main: White/red Red/black Red/yellow and Black.. The car only has three wires which are White/red Red/yellow and black. I'm confused what to do about these wires.. Also i cant seem to connect my outside handle back to the door. Can anyone help with any of this.

Have you even looked through any wiring diagrams to see what's different?

Because I've got nothing better to do:

'95 (95-96 are generally the same) shows two data lines for both the lock and windows, a B+, and a ground. R/B and R/Y are both data lines, B is obvious, and W/R is batt.

'97: shows one data line for the window/lock, B+, and ground. W/R is batt, R/Y is a data line, and B is obvious again.

Basically, BCM operations changed between the years, only one data line is needed instead of both of them.

Switch out the contents of your old door for the new one, including the harness. Problem solved.
