lol, thanks guys.

No I'm not still around. About a year and a half ago I moved back to the DC area and started a nutty new job with a long commute, so not much posting on forums anymore. 6 months ago the wife and I finally bought a house which got me down to a 15 minute commute, but then we had our first baby like 4 days after we closed on our house, so still no time. Yeah I pretty much only post on V6P.net these days, which I'm a co-founder of, but I still don't post much on forums anymore.

The Maxima is For Sale if anybody is interested [southeast PA]. It's already been replaced.

Due to the destruction of my lower back at 6'3" from trying to get a baby in and out of the car seat of a low slung sedan, I had to get an SUV instead of another sedan. Picked up a closeout 2007 Toyota RAV4 Sport V6 4WD a month and a half ago. Love it! It's just as quick as my Maxima, the automatic is great so I don't miss the manual at all, handling is surprisingly good, there's tons of room and flexibility, 4WD for rain/snow, I don't break my back getting my little girl in and out of her seat (don't even have to bend over), and believe it or not it still gets the same or better mileage as my Nissan despite being 600 lbs heavier and having a much bigger aero profile. It's amazing how far automotive technology has advanced in the past 10 years or so.

For my birthday I got flu strain #1 from my wife, and then my daughter got me flu strain #2 from day care. Been out sick from work Friday and Monday. happy 30th to me! LOL

LOL. The Highlander is fine power wise as long as you manually shift and keep it wound up at at least 4000rpm. Problem is, the stupid shift mapping is so ridiculously conservative that you have to be floored to ever get it to stay above 3000rpm. That thing is dying for a sport/normal shift mode button like old skool Toyotas and current Lexus cars have. That would totally transform it.

Anyways, I'm not really "into" cars anymore like I used to be and honestly didn't care so much what I got. All cars are the same to me now. They all suck in one way or another. Despite being not too particular, my wife was trying to pawn off the HL on me and I was like **** no!

Yeah, because of you, I now have quite the collection of DRF's, spreadsheets re: gear ratios/RPM/MPH of various cars etc.

My board name is 'lightonthehill', but compared to steVTEC, I'm just a candle on the grassy knoll . . .

steVTEC should change his moniker to something like 'The_Illuminator', or maybe 'TheTruth'. Or possibly 'OrgInformant' or 'KnowledgeIsPower'.

Happy birthday steVTEC!
