lost the key to my wheel locks, what to do?

I lost the key to my wheel lock nuts. WHat can I do to get them off. I can't remember what kind I bought, but I couldn't find similar shape lock sets at the local shop. A guy at Pep boys told me that some places break them off, then you have to put new studs back in... any ideas? thanks.

Did you save the piece of paper that came with the wheel locks. It includes the serial # and address.

I was in the same predicament about a month ago. I went to this tire place and they had a couple different lock keys and one of them actually got mine off.

This happened to me once and the tire place I brought it to used some kind of air tool to chisel them off(they didn't have any keys to remove them). I knew even if they broke the stud they are only $3-$4 each but they got them off.

using an air chisel can damage your rim if you are not careful

you can try whacking a socket over the lug nut & try to loosen them that way. most lock lugs aren't torqued down so they should come. this is probably to easiest way to get them off
